Château de la Gardine offers you renowned vintages
From the Château's terrace, the view is lost over the Luberon, the Alpilles chain of Provence and even closer Avignon…
Why La Gardine? Hypotheses abound. Our view of the Château suggests that Gardine comes from "garde", watchtower. There is evidence that it was once an episcopal property. Until 1693, a Gardine tenement is mentioned, and in 1699, the mention of an old barn suggests the age of a farm.
The Château's grape varieties are carefully selected according to the soil type (Urgonian limestone, pebbles or Miocene soil), which is one of the factors contributing to the complexity of the wines.
Selective harvesting and blending of grape varieties during vinification ensure a very homogeneous blend and cohesive aromas.
Carved into the rock, the deep, naturally cool cellars house some 500 oak barrels where the treasures of Château de la Gardine peacefully rise.
The range includes white and red wines from Châteauneuf du Pape, red Côtes du Rhône Villages Rasteau, and Côtes du Rhône Villages.
